For Veterans Day at City Mission, we held a special chapel service
to honor our
residents and staff who served in the armed forces. Dr. Bob Scott,
Wendy Barbeau and Dean Gartland led a beautiful service filled with prayer, guest speakers and great music.
Mike, one of our residents and a former US Marine, shared about
his life in the
Marine Corps and told how his military service shaped his
relationship with Christ.
Sue Gartland, singer, song writer and City Mission Volunteer
Manager, shared an
original song, "Just Another Drop of Water." Sue wrote
this beautiful song when
her youngest son was deployed in Iraq while serving in the US
Marine Corps.
